Del Sol Furniture's humble beginnings trace back to 1997, when entrepreneurs Venancio and Rosa Macias leased a small 2,000 square foot space inside a shopping center known as "Family Mart" on the east side of Phoenix at 21st Street and McDowell Road. Their vision was to provide quality furniture, mattresses, electronics, and appliances to everyone at great prices and with accessible credit options.

This vision was embraced by its customers and quickly began to outgrow its original leased space. A second location was opened in West Phoenix in 1998. This 9,000 square foot store at 57th Avenue and Camelback Road in Glendale, Arizona was more than triple the size of the first store. A year later, came the third location at 29th Avenue and Van Buren Street in Central Phoenix.

In the year 2000, the company invested in a 15,000 square foot, multi-racked distribution center to better serve its customers and expand its market. The next year heralded the company’s greatest expansion yet, when Del Sol began development of a 2-acre site on 32nd Street and Thomas Road in East Phoenix. In 2002 the 23,000 square foot shopping center, Plaza Del Sol opened its doors, anchored by Del Sol Furniture with several retailers leasing the remaining spaces.

In 2007, Del Sol Furniture opened its current distribution center, a 25,000 square foot building on 39th Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix, which also houses the corporate office and financing operations.

Currently, Del Sol Furniture operates 4 stores in the Greater Phoenix area and has evolved into a second generation family-owned furniture retail business. Son Alejandro Macias and daughter Minerva Macias-Maestas, both graduates of Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business have taken the reigns of the company and are driving it’s progress ever forward. While Del Sol Furniture has grown exponentially from our humble beginnings, our mission is as clear today as it was at the company’s founding in 1997.
